Dear Esteemed Member of Congress:

I write to you to bring to your attention a matter of great importance -which all U.S. citizens, and peoples of good conscience, should take action on for the sake of preserving the integrity of the principles espoused by the United States Constitution, the United Nations Charter, and other international treatises regarding human rights and the treatment of criminals, prisoners, prisoners of conscience, and prisoners of war.

Upon evaluating the information regarding the treatment of one Chief Iron Thunderhorse (TDCJ-ID#624391), culture-bearer of the Thunder Clan of the Quinni-Pe-Okke (available on this website and other public sources), I have determined, and I am certain you will concur, that the treatment of this individual is a strict violation of established law and morality.

As the representative of my voice in the chambers of congress I implore you to carry out whatever legal options and obligations are within the mandate of your oath to office.

As it seems apparent that the life of Chief Iron Thunderhorse is in imminent danger, I ask that prompt action be taken regarding the following:

• to see that Chief Thunderhorse is placed in protective custody and moved to a federal prison or an out-of-state prison where he can safely wear his hair in accordance with his religion.
• after he is safe, I respectfully ask that you investigate the wrongful conviction and clear his name or obtain executive clemency to set this man free after almost thirty years of suffering racially motivated abuses as well as attempts on his life by TDCJ.
• that a thorough investigation be conducted into the systematic abuse of power, the abuse of prisoners, retaliation against inmates who file grievances or lawsuits, and other corruption within the walls of TDCJ.

Not one person, in this great country based on the principles of liberty, freedom, and equality, should be served the injustices this person has. As culture bearer of an indigenous peoples his health and welfare are of particular import to this person.
