Letter from Ruth Little Owl to President Bush:
October 30, 2005
Dear President Bush and our friends and family,
We need your help, Mr. President, to protect my
husband's life from the abuse and torture at the hands
of Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Please, Mr.
President, have an objective investigation of this
matter and help us arrange for him to be moved to a
safe place, where he can prove his innocence without
being under constant harassment, mail interference,
torture, and deprivation of medical needs.
A friend of ours in Connecticut wrote us this week
saying that he had written to everyone on the list in
Texas and he asked me, "Doesn't anybody out there
care?"
So far as we can determine, Mr. President, the answer,
so far as politicians and TDCJ personnel are
concerned, is "NO!"
BUT PEOPLE CARE! VOTERS CARE. International public
opinions care.
Is this one brilliant man, who has dedicated most of
his life to making the world a better place to live,
who is a human rights activist, who has sacrificed
himself to help others in need, who is a linguist
(speaking and writing six languages), who is deeply
spiritual and willing (like Daniel and the Three
Hebrew Children of our Bible Stories) to stand up for
his beliefs and refuse to compromise his relationship
with God - is this man not worthy of a few moments of
your time?
Thank you kindly.
Sincerely,
Ruth (Mrs.Iron) Thunderhorse
