This website's purpose is to provide awareness to people in America, Canada and throughout the world, and to provide a forum for friends, family, supporters, activists, tribal nations. spiritual circles, and the public about Iron Thunderhorse, his life, his accomplishments, his tribal legacy and his circumstances today. Iron Thunderhorse is a renown linguist, tribal historian, culture-bearer, author, artist-craftsman, columnist, Viet Nam Vet and human rights leader advocating for all oppressed peoples and conditions (i.e. elderly, youth, women, handicapped, tribes, prisoners, veterans, environment, etc.). He is now 62 years old, legally blind, with numerous disabilities and has been wrongfully imprisoned for almost 30 years. This website is sponsored/supported by:
THE INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT LEAGUE THE INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT LEAGUE (ISL) is a subsidiary of the Algonquian Confederacy of the Quinnipiac Tribal Council, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 1989 under the laws of the State of Connecticut. The ISL Board of Directors consists of eighteen men and women from many walks of life (teachers, veterans, nurses, publishers, accountants, ministers, shamans) and represent at least three different religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Native American traditionalism). These men and women live in California, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Canada, England, France, and New Zealand. Our Honorary Directors [see “Honorary Directors” infra] are Jack Dempsey, PhD, and Chuck Wilson, Vietnam Veteran. Each of these eighteen men and women have worked closely with the Executive Director, Ruth Mahweeyeuh Thunderhorse, to help Iron Thunderhorse since the attack against him on June 7, and without their help, we believe that Iron would not have survived thus far.
